PENTIVENT ©: HIGH POWER! The 5 magnet vent design allows the MAXCALIBER sub-woofer to efficiently cool its self even at high levels. 1 vent through the center of the magnet "pole-piece" and 4 vents in the magnet "top-plate". Fresh Air enters the top-plate vents through the basket "cooling windows". Also heated air from the voice-coil escapes through the top-plate vents, out the basket windows. This air exchange allow for very high power. The PENTIVENT© design also lowers pressure from inside the magnet structure. This virtually eliminates "air pressure" noises heard in other high power speakers. This combined with a vent radius ensures noise free air exchange for cooling.
